Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m).

    Welcome fellow trekkers! On reaching Tribhuvan International airport, we will be there to receive you. After then, a short drive will take you to the hotel. After checking in and getting refreshed, our guide will brief you about the overall trip and coordinate any last-minute arrangements. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Fly Lukla (2,840m) & trek to Phakding (2610m): Walk approx. 3 hrs.

    We wake up and be ready early in the morning for a flight to Lukla which takes around 35 minutes. We can relish the magnificent view of Great Himalayas including Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,463m) and other surrounding mountains. Upon landing in Lukla, we start our trekking. As today is the first day of our trekking, we follow an easy trail for a short while. The trail heads downhill alongside the bank Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding. Overnight stay at Phakding.

  • Day 3 To Namche Bazaar (3,440m): Walk approx. 6-7 hrs.

    The trek on this day heads north towards Monjo village. Hereon, we enter the Sagarmatha National Park and even relish occasional sightings of the Mount Everest (8,848m) on the way. Following the Dudh Koshi River, we pass Jorsalle and head to Namche Bazaar. We walk through a steep terrain before reaching Namche Bazaar. In the evening, we can walk around the town to observe the Sherpa culture and lifestyle. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 4 Rest day Namche Bazaar.

    Today is the rest day at Namche Bazaar to allow our bodies to acclimatize with the increasing altitude. Namche Bazaar hosts a stunning view of Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Thamserku (6,608m). We can also visit the Sherpa museum or hike up to the Hotel Everest View. We can savor the mind-blowing views of the Himalayas from the hotel’s premises. Other possible hiking destinations on this day is Khumjung and Khunde. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 5 To Tengboche (3,860m) via Shyangbochen. Walk approx. 6-7 hrs.

    We continue to trek alongside the Dudh Koshi River to reach Khyangjuma. From here, the trail drops down to the Dudh Koshi and after crossing the bridge we get to Phunki Thanga. After then, the trail to get to Tengboche is a bit harder and involves making steep ascents. In Tengboche, we can explore Tengboche Monastery hosts beautiful views of the Mt. Everest (8,848m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and Thamserku (6,608m). Overnight stay at Tengboche.

  • Day 6 To Pangboche (4,530m): Walk approx. 3 hrs.

    Today, we leave Tengboche for Pangboche. The trek on this day is a short one and we can maintain a slow pace. We walk through the meadows and pastures. We cross the Dudh

    Koshi River and follow it all the way to Milingo. Then, we ascend over a ridge to head to Pangboche. As the trek will be relatively shorter on this day, we can explore the Pangboche Monastery and the village vicinity. Overnight stay at Pangboche.

  • Day 7 Day trip to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,800m) & return to Pangboche: Walk approx. 8 hrs.

    We begin the trek to the Ama Dablam Base Camp and traverse through dry barren lands. After walking for a few hours, we arrive at the Ama Dablam Base Camp. At the base camp, we can enjoy the 360-degree panorama of the mighty Himalayas comprised of Ama Dablam (6,856m), Kusum Khangkaru (6,367), and Thamserku (6,608m). After enjoying for a while, we retrace our steps back to Pangboche. Overnight stay at Pangboche.

  • Day 8 To Namche (3,440m): Walk approx. 6 hrs.

    The trek begins along the Imja River to return to Tengboche. The trail then descends steeply to Sanasa. We reach Khyangjuma after an easy walk through Rhododendron forests. After then, the downhill walk brings us to Namche. The trek also offers enchanting views of the Himalayas in the Everest region. In Namche, you can explore the town and head to the restaurants and cafes to treat yourself with a variety of cuisines. Overnight stay at Namche.

  • Day 9 To Lukla (2,840m): Walk approx. 7-8 hrs.

    Today is the last day of our trek. We retrace our steps to reach Lukla from Namche Bazar. The extravagant scenery of mountains is always our companion on the trek. Along with the courses of Dudh Koshi River, we walk all the way up to Lukla. The trail traverses through many countrysides and villages like Phakding and Ghat. Overnight stay at Lukla.

  • Day 10 Reserve Day.

    As the weather in the Himalayas can be pretty unpredictable, the trips can be obstructed by a variety of adverse climatic conditions. We reserve this day as a contingency day to complete the trip. Alternatively, this day can also be used in case of flight cancellation in Lukla.

  • Day 11 Fly to Kathmandu (1,300m).

    Relishing the spectacular panorama of the mighty Himalayas throughout the flight, we fly back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you can spend the rest of the day as you desire. Head to the massage centers and restaurants. The nearby streets and markets also allow an opportunity to witness the local way of life. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 12 In Kathmandu, half day sightseeing.

    Today is the day we go sightseeing around the world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley, which includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath temple, and the Pashupatinath temple. We get to see the art, culture, and history that Kathmandu valley is ornamented with. You can also celebrate the successful completion of a magnificent journey in Nepal. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 13 Trip concludes Kathmandu.

    Last day after the fantastic time with “Once is not enough” Nepal, we will transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final flight back. We hope to see you again!
