Booking a Trip:

In the context of these Terms and Conditions, “trip” refers to any tour, trek, expedition, and adventure programme offered by the company, which has been agreed upon in writing (email) by both parties.

Contract Formation:

After a booking has been accepted by Manikang Nepal Treks & Adventure Pvt. Ltd. the trip is confirmed by a contract between both parties, client and company.

Trip Cancellation/Amendment/Curtailment (Company):

Manikang will make every effort to ensure that your trek/travel proceeds in accordance with the itinerary selected and booked by our clients. However, as the safety of our clients is of paramount importance to us at all times, the company reserves the right to cancel or curtail a trip due to reasons beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, natural disasters, consequences of civil unrest, etc. In all such cases, refunds will be made by the company based on an accurate assessment of the particular circumstances or an alternative trip of equivalent value will be offered.

Medical condition and insurance:

It is mandatory for every client, especially those intending to trek at high altitude, to notify the company of any pre-existing health conditions and/or to provide a health certificate if requested. The company reserves the right not to accept clients if there is reasonable doubt about their physical ability to participate in a trip. Clients should also be aware that with the exception of Kathmandu and Pokhara, the standard of hospitals and medical facilities available in Nepal vary greatly and Manikang cannot guarantee the standard of emergency treatment available in case of need.

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and other medical issues can affect anyone of any age when trekking at altitude. Clients must, therefore, be covered by travel insurance which provides full ‘rescue and emergency evacuation’ coverage for the total duration of their travels. A copy of this must be provided to the company in advance.

*The company reserves the right to update and amend the above terms and conditions at any time. Clients are therefore advised to review them from time to time.

We protect the privacy of our clients and all personal information provided to Manikang in the course of booking a trip will remain completely confidential and not used for any other purpose.

However, Manikang reserves the right to use photographs taken by our trekking staff or shared with us by clients for promotional purposes. Clients disagreeing with this policy are asked to inform us so we can act accordingly.
