Nar Phu Valley Trek

Duration: 2 Nights 3 Days

Nar Phu Valley Trek explores the famous trails in the northern Annapurna region and the exotic valley of Nar and Phu. The journey follows the renowned Annapurna Circuit Trek and adds more thrill while navigating around the authentic Tibetan settlements in the Nar and Phu villages. The trek even introduces the travelers to the enchanting gems like Tilicho Lake, Manang Village, and the Annapurna Conservation Area. All in all, this venture is a massive improvement to normal treks in the Annapurna region and guarantees natural and cultural joys.

The 20-day long Nar Phu valley trek assures exhilarating trekking experience to the trekkers. The journey starts with your arrival in Kathmandu followed by a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syange via Besisahar. As the road trip ends, the trek finally commences as you head to the settlement of Jagat. Thereon, we follow the Budhi Gandaki River to reach the Meta Village. Here, the trail from the Annapurna Circuit Trek deviates to that on the Nar Phu Valley Trek. Heading further north, the trek settles at the Phu Village. This Village offers excursions to some of the most esteemed and interesting destinations on the trek. Tashi Lhakhang Monastery, ruined forts, and numerous monastery introduce the history of the valley. Descending along moraines and grassy slopes, the trek arrives at Nar Village. Similar in stature to the Phu Village, Nar village is one of the least traveled destinations in Nepal. Re-joining the Annapurna Circuit, we head to the Manang Village which is celebrated for its grand monasteries and unique landscapes. As the trek heads west, we arrive at Khangsar Village and rest at Thare Gompa. As the trek arrives at Tilicho Lake, we explore one of the highest lakes in Nepal. The trek possesses further challenge as the climb to the Mesokanto La Pass (5,340m) awaits. An easy trek to Jomsom makes way to a flight to Pokhara and a drive to Kathmandu.
