Bardia Jungle Safari

Spread over 968sq km of an area, Bardia National Park is the largest National Park in Terai region. Previously, the area was used for hunting sports by Nepalese Royal Family which was later announced as National Park back in 1,988. Bardia National Park not only includes Babai River Valley but its boundary is extended up to the eastern shore of Karnali River which is perfect for Dolphin viewing. The northern boundary of Bardia National Park is safeguarded by Churia Hills and Geruwa River secures the western border while there exists Nepalgunj Surkhet Highway to the south.

Bardia Jungle Safari takes us to the core of dense sal forest where we can observe many rare and endangered species of floras and faunas. Participating in Bardia National Park tour allows us to witness more than 30 species of mammals including langur monkey, civets, rhesus monkeys, sloth bears, deer, wild boars, one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephant, and blue sheep. Amphibians like Gharial and Marsh Mugger crocodiles can be viewed in Babai River while Karnali River is rich in Gangetic dolphins. Different species of wildflowers can be found in an area from Churia hills to Bhabar. Bardia jungle safari allows us to witness over 250 species of local and migratory birds including rare Bengal florican, kingfishers and more.
