In order to help facilitate this, Manikang is authorized by the Government of Nepal and is a member of various government-affiliated regulatory bodies, including the Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN); Nepal Association for Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA); Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA); and Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP).

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
Manikang donates a proportion of its profits to a school in a poor rural area near Godhawari south of Kathmandu, after having personally checked the credentials of the charity and visiting the school to ensure the education provided to the children is of high quality. Clients are able to visit the school by prior arrangement.
