Annpurna Circuit Trek

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m), Transfer to Hotel.

    When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will go through custom and visa formalities. As you exit from the Arrival Hall, you will find our representative waiting for you with placard in his hand. Look for your name in a placard. After receiving you, he will transfer you to the three-star category hotel. Get refreshed. Later, you will get briefing regarding the trip. Explore the surroundings. Have a comfortable stay.

  • Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu, Trek Preparation.

    After breakfast, you will join for guided Kathmandu City Tour. Out of 10 UNESCO cultural sites in Nepal, 4 of them exist in Kathmandu alone making it the historical city. We will start the tour by visiting the Pashupatinath Complex which is the most significant Hindu Temple in Nepal. Non- Hindus are not allowed access in the main temple premises but you can still observe cremation ceremony at the bank of Bagmati River. You will also visit Bouddhanath which was listed in the world heritage site in 1979 A.D. This is also known as mini Tibet in Kathmandu. Next stop will be at Swoyambhunath which is the oldest Buddhist Stupa located at the top of the hill. Swoyambhunath is the oldest stupa that dates 2500 years back. Drive further to Kathmandu Durbar Square- the ancient Royal Palace. Hanumandhoka Museum, Kasthamandap Temple, KalBhairav Statue and House of Living Goddess are places of interest. Return to hotel for a comfortable stay. In the afternoon, you can shop for any trekking equipment that you require.

  • Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m).

    It takes almost8 to 9 hours to reach Besisahar from Kathmandu by bus. So, we will leave Kathmandu early in the morning after breakfast and follow the meandering Prithvi Highway. En route, we can enjoy views of green hills, rivers, forest and Nepal’s first cable car at Kurintar. As we reach Dumre, we will leave Highway and follow the branched road to Besisahar. This is the District Head Quarter of Lamjung where we can find many hotels and lodges to stay overnight.

  • Day 4 Jeep drive to Syange, Trek to Chamje (1,430m).

    One can find local jeep from Besisahar to Syange. We will catch the jeep which will take us to Syange in an hour through a bumpy road. Annapurna Circuit Trek at Manikang Nepal begins from Syange. Once the porters are ready with the baggage, we will begin our trek to Shree Chaur. The trail escalates uphill from Shree Chaur to Jagat. Walking through boulders, we will reachChamje. Stay overnight in Chamje.

  • Day 5 Trek to Dharapani (1,860m).

    We can find many local teahouses in Chamje. After having a refreshing tea early in the morning, we will lower down to the river. We will cross that river and follow the escalating path uphill to Seattle. Walking past teahouses in Seattle, we will follow the path located just above the river and reach to the top of the hill. The hill allows a clear view of Tal village. We will cross the check post and walk throughKartevillage. We will once again arrive at the river. As we cross the river, we will move further to Dharapani. Stay overnight in Dharapani.

  • Day 6 Trek to Chame (2,670m).

    We can witness a change in geography after Dharapani. The temperature will dropdown. We will cross the pine forest to reach Bagarchhapwhich is the first Tibetan style village that we can see during this trek. We will move further to Danake. The trail takes us through local farmland from where we can get views of Lamjungand Annapurna II Mountains. Walking past tiny Koto village, we will reach Chame where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 7 Trek to Pisang (2,975m).

    After breakfast, we will follow the northern edge of the river for a brief period before climbing through pine forest. Walking through a few dispersed villages, we will reach Bhartang where we can witness an apple garden. We will climb further to DhukurPokhari hill from where we can enjoy the breath-taking sight of Pisang peak and Chulu peak. Descending from the hill, we will walk further to Pisang village where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 8 Trek to Manang (3,540m).

    After breakfast, we will leave Pisang and walk through the pine forest to reach to the top of the hill. Enjoy the striking views of Manang valley, Humde village, Annapurna II Mountain, Pisang Peak and Gangachuli Peak before following the trail to small Humde village. We will walk further to Braga village where we will visit Braga Monastery before taking sharp climb to Manang. Stay overnight at Manang.

  • Day 9 Acclimatization at Manang (3,540m).

    Take a day of rest at Manang. You can seize this opportunity to explore historicManang village. Manang village comprises of around 500 houses. This is also a perfect place to have close-up views of Annapurna Mountain Range, Gangapurna Peak, Tilicho Peak and Chulu peak. There also exists a building of Himalayan Rescue Association in Manang where we can visit to learn about High Altitude sickness. Stay overnight in Manang.

  • Day 10 Trek to Yak Kharka (4,050m).

    After early breakfast, we will follow the ascending trail to Tenkifrom Manang. Tenki is a vast expanse of green meadow that greets us with views of Annapurna Mountain, Gangapurna Peak and Tilicho peak. We will climb further from Tenki to Yak Kharka. Stay overnight in Yak Kharka.

  • Day 11 Trek to Thorang-Phedi (4,450m).

    This is a short trek that will take around three hours. We will leave Yak Kharka and descend to Ledar from where we will continue to walk to Jorsang River. Following the eastern edge of Jorsang River, we will walk past local tea houses to ThorongPhedi, the base of Mountain Pass of Thorong La. Stay overnight at ThorongPhedi.

  • Day 12 Climb Thorongla (5,416m), Descend to Muktinath (3,748m).

    Climbing Thorong La is the most difficult thing to do in Annapurna Circuit Trek. Once the crew members get ready with packing things and preparing baggage, we will begin to climb Thorong La early in the morning. Do not rush and always try to maintain a constant pace. Climb gradually to the top of Thorong La. The summit rewards us with views of surrounding mountains. We will descend to Muktinath Temple from Thorong La. Muktinath Temple is considered holy by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Stay overnight at Muktinath.

  • Day 13 Trek to Kagbeni (2,800m).

    Early in the morning, we will explore Muktinath Temple. Along with the main Muktinath Temple, there are also Vishnu Temple and Jwala Mai Temple. Fuelled by natural gas, the flame in Jwala Mai Temple is believed to have never been blown off. You can also take shower in 108 water sprouts that lie in Muktinath Temple premises. After spending the morning in Muktinath, we will descend to KaligandakiRiver valley and trek to Kagbeni where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 14 Trek to Marpha (2,670m).

    From Kagbeni, we will take a brief walk to Jomsom. Jomsom is the district headquarters of Mustang. Walking through the dusty road, we will reach Marpha. So not forget to take the taste of local apple brandy while you are in Marpha. This place is known as the capital of apple production in Nepal. Stay overnight at Marpha.

  • Day 15 Trek to Kalopani (2,530m).

    Leaving Marpha, walk along Kaligandaki River to Tukuche village. The village is named after Tukuche peak that stays close to the village. We can get panoramic views of Dhaulagiri Mountain and NilgiriMountain. Descend to Kalolpani village for overnight stay.

  • Day 16 Trek Tatopani (1,190m).

    After early morning breakfast, descend to the Thakali village of Ghasa. There will be changes in topography from dry desert setting to green forest from Kalopani onwards. Cross few ethnic villages and walk through Rupse waterfall. The trail descends further to Dana village before continuing to Tatopani. Stay overnight at Tatopani.

  • Day 17 Trek to Ghorepani (2,750m).

    We can visit a natural hot spring early in the morning at Tatopani for taking bath. We will descend to the river. Following Kali Gandaki River, we will reach the point from where the route splits off. We will choose the left path and walk through rhododendron forest to reach Ghorepani where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 18 Hike to Poon hill (3,193m), Trek continue to Hile (1,430m).

    From Ghorepani, we will take about 40minutes of walk to reach Poon hill which is named after Poon ethnics that inhabit in the village. Poon hill is popular for sunrise view over Annapurna. We can get panoramic views of Nilgiri Peak, Tukuche Peak and Annapurna Mountain from Poon Hill. We will descend to Ghorepani and take breakfast before walking further to Hilewhere we will stay overnight.

  • Day 19 Trek to Nayapul, Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu.

    Leaving Hile, descend to Nayapul. Nayapul is the end point for Annapurna Circuit Trekking. It takes an hour to reach Pokhara from Nayapul in a private vehicle. After taking lunch in Pokhara, we will follow Prithvi Highway back to Kathmandu from where you will be transferred to the hotel.

  • Day 20 Departure

    You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey. We hope to see you soon.
