Chulu West Peak Climbing.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu.

    You will officially arrive at the Land of the Himalayas, Nepal, as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Following a drive to the hotel, you are free to spend the rest of the day as you wish. You can try Newari dishes or explore the streets of Thamel. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation (1,300m).

    On this day, you indulge in an entertaining sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley. The tour takes you to some of the world heritage sites in the valley like Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath. All of these sites are historic on their own rights and hold a rich history of the ancient city. Meanwhile, you can also prepare for the journey and shop for essentials. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Drive Kathmandu to Syange/ Trek to Jagat 8-10 hrs.

    You will drive to Besi Sahar via Dumre today. You will follow the bank of the Trishuli River all the way to Dumre. After reaching Dumre, you will drive for around two more hours and reach Besi Sahar. Thereon, the drive continues to Syange on off-road tracks. After a brief layover at Syange, you begin the trek to Jagat. The trek will be a short one to get start your journey. Overnight stay at Jagat.

  • Day 4 Trek Jagat to Dharapani 5-6 hrs.

    You will descend down to Marshyangdi River and cross a suspension bridge. Further, you will ascend gently towards Sattale and continue walking towards Gherang. A long climb later, you reach Gherang and head north to Chhaijo. A final ascent along the Marshyangdi River takes you to Dharapani. Overnight stay at Dharapani.

  • Day 5 Dharapani to Chame 5-6 hrs.

    You will descend down following the east bank of the river and reach Karte. You will then ascend towards Dharapani, and go through the forest of blue pine, hemlock, spruce, and maple to reach Baharchhap. From here, you will ascend through the forest, and crossing several landslide areas you will reach Lata Marang. Traversing along with numerous monasteries, you arrive at Chame. Overnight stay at Chame.

  • Day 6 Chame- Pisang 5-6 hrs.

    From Chame, you will trek through the pine forest and huge apple orchard. You will get to see stunning views of Pisang peak (6,091 m), Annapurna II (7,937 m), Ngadi Chuli (7,871 m), and Himalchuli (6,441 m). The trek also enters Swargadwari region, the gateway to heaven. Hindus believe traveling these trails will take them to heaven after their death. Passing Bhratang and Dhikur Pokhari, you reach Upper Pisang.

  • Day 7 Pisang - Manang Village 5-6 hrs.

    There are two trails that head out of Pisang- a low road and a high road. You will go on the long route, which will present you spectacular views of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m). Trekking through the large village of Braga, you will reach the oldest monastery in the region. From here, you will trek for another half an hour and reach Manang. Overnight stay at Manang.

  • Day 8 Rest day at Manang.

    This is your rest day at Manang to acclimatize with the increasing altitude. You can hike to the higher altitude viewpoints to see amazing views of mountains in Chulu, Nilgiri, and Annapurna ranges. You can also explore caves, lakes, moraine-hills, monasteries, and small villages here. Braga and Boozo gompas are the biggest monasteries here. Overnight stay at Manang.

  • Day 9 Manang - Tilicho Base Camp 6-7 hrs trek.

    From Manang, the route diverts from the normal Annapurna Circuit trail and heads west to the Khangsar Village. Also dubbed as the Last village of Nepal, Khangsar is a specimen of Tibetan culture and lifestyle. From here, the trek continues to Siri Kharka followed by Thare Gompa. After some steep ascents and descents, you arrive at Tilicho Base Camp. Overnight stay at Tilicho Base Camp.

    • Altitude: 4,190m./1,3950 ft.
  • Day 10 Visit Tilicho Lake – Tilicho Base Camp: 6-7 hrs trek.

    On this day, you explore the Tilicho Lake, the highest lake in Nepal and one of the highest lakes in the entire world. The lake is situated in the foothills of the mountains Tilicho, Nilgiri, and Muktinath Himalayan ranges. The lake also has plenty of viewpoints in its vicinity which offer astonishing of Tilicho Peak (7,134m), Nilgiri (7,061m), and the Annapurna ranges. After exploring the lake, you head to Tilicho Base Camp.

  • Day 11 Tilicho Base camp – Yak Kharka 5-6 hrs trek.

    The trail returns towards Thare Gompa and heads west. Upon reaching the monastery, the trail heads north towards Yak Kharka. The trail begins to follow the Thorung River and gradually ascends to reach a small settlement with a few tea shops. Continuing on, you go past Mani walls to reach Yak Kharka. Overnight stay at Yak Kharka.

  • Day 12 Yak Kharka – Chulu West Base Camp 4-5 hrs trek.

    On this day, you officially begin the ascent to the Chulu West Peak (6,419m). Heading out of the lush pasturelands of Yak Kharka, the trail takes you along rocky paths and glacial moraines. As the Himalayas grow larger in size, the Himalayan air also starts to sends chills down your body. After a rigorous climb, you arrive at the Chulu West Base Camp.   • Day 13 Chulu West Base camp – Chulu West High camp 4-5 hrs.

    As the trek gains more altitude, the journey to the high camp gets even more challenging. As you make more steep climbs, the majestic Himalayan views will come to your rescue. The trails do not have any human settlements and vegetation are also reduced to a sparse amount. Overnight stay at Chulu West High Camp.

  • Day 14 Chulu West High Camp – summit – Base Camp: 9-10 hrs.

    The day to scale the Chulu West Peak! After days of determined ascents and long walks, you finally head to the summit of the peak. You will begin the climb early in the morning and follow the instructions of the guides. The climb is relatively easy but requires a decent physical fitness and mental strength as well. As you climb up the snowy trails along the ridges and mountain-side routes, you reach the summit of the Chulu West Peak (6,419m). The views of the Annapurna, Nilgiri, Muktinath, and Damodar Himal ranges are pretty sublime from here. Later, you head back to the base camp. Overnight stay at Chulu West Base Camp.

  • Day 15 Chulu West Base camp – Thorung Phedi 6-7 hrs.

    You will walk towards Throng La Phedi, which is located at the base of the Thorung La Pass (5,416m). Descending to the trail along the Kone River, you gradually pick up the pace to head to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project Office at Ledar. Thereon, it is a continuous ascent to the Thorung Phedi. The pastureland offers great viewpoints to observe the Himalayas in the Muktinath, and Thorung Himal ranges. Overnight stay at Thorung Phedi.

  • Day 16 Thorung Phedi – Thorung La - Muktinath 9-10 hrs.

    Beginning the trek, you will ascend over trails covered with moraines to reach the Thorung La Pass. The pass is decorated by the swaying chortens. From here, you will see the Kali Gandaki River in the west and many beautiful Himalayan ranges in Annapurna ranges. You will descend down to the other side from where you will see amazing views of Mustang. Further, you will head towards Muktinath, which is a holy pilgrimage site of Hindus. Overnight stay at Muktinath.

  • Day 17 Drive Muktinath- Jomsom 5-6 hrs.

    Today, you take a break from trekking and drive to Jomsom. Before that, you explore the Muktinath Temple premise in the morning. You can also bath in the 108 taps in the temple which are said to cleanse you from your sins. As the drive begins, you will descend towards the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge of the world and reach Kagbeni. From here, you will go through several villages to reach Jomsom. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

  • Day 18 Fly to Pokhara 25 Mins.

    Today, you will fly to the lively Pokhara. Upon arriving at the Pokhara, you will head to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore nearby areas and relax. You can also do boating on the beautiful Phewa Lake. Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, Bat Cave, and peace pagoda are some of the famous sites to explore in Pokhara. At night, you can enjoy restaurants which offer authentic Nepali meals or enjoy live music. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

  • Day 19 Drive to Kathmandu 6-7 hrs.

    After having a delicious breakfast, you will drive to Kathmandu. As you re-join the Prithvi Highway, you can relish the sights of lush landscapes and gorgeous Trishuli River on the drive. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore and rest. You can explore the streets in Thamel and shop for gifts and mementos. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 20 Departure.

    On the final day of your journey in Nepal, you can plan the schedule as per the timing of the flight. You can explore the nearby heritages or rest at the hotel. A company representative will accompany you to the airport as you bid farewell to Nepal and head towards our destination.
