Money & ATMs
Carrying enough cash is important for the Mardi Himal Trek. ATMs are available in Pokhara, but there are no reliable ATM services along the trekking route. Most teahouses, small shops, and local businesses accept cash only, so it is best to withdraw enough money before leaving Pokhara.
At Manikang Nepal Treks, we recommend bringing sufficient Nepalese Rupees to cover personal expenses such as drinks, snacks, hot showers, Wi-Fi, device charging, and any extra purchases during the trek. It is also a good idea to carry some small-denomination notes for easier payments at teahouses and local shops.
Before starting your trek, inform your bank if you plan to use your card in Nepal, and keep your cash in a secure, waterproof pouch. Planning your budget in advance will help you enjoy a smooth and worry-free trekking experience.
