Island Peak Climbing.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu.

    Soon after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our staff members will greet you and take you to your hotel. For the remainder of the day, you can explore the city and observe the Newari architectural marvels. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding.

    Today, you take a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is a scenic flight of around 35 minutes that also offers remarkable sceneries of the hilly landscapes and the northern Himalayas. Once at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, you rest for a while and begin your walk towards the village of Phakding. Following the gradual continuous downhill trail, you arrive at Phakding. Overnight stay at Phakding.

  • Day 3 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.

    You continue your walk through the forested area alongside the bank of Dudh Koshi River until you reach Monjo via Bengkar. Monjo is also the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Enjoying the wildlife and lush vegetation of this region, you further ascend towards Jorsalle. From here, you cross few suspension bridges and waterfalls to reach the beautiful Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 4 Rest at Namche Bazaar/ acclimatization day.

    Today is a rest day where you adjust with the increasing altitude. Early in the morning, you can take a hike to Khumjung Valley through the Syangboche airstrip. Everest View Hotel is another hiking destination from Namche. Here, you get an enchanting view of Nuptse (7,861m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,608m), Kusum Khangkaru (6,367m), and Mount Everest (8,848m) itself. You can also visit nearby monasteries and be familiar with their Sherpa culture and tradition. Overnight stay Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 5 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche.

    Leaving behind Namche Bazaar, you continue your walk towards the settlement of Tengboche. The trail passes through Sanasa and proceeds towards Phunki Thanga crossing a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. Finally, you reach Tengboche village which also has the largest monastery of the Everest region- the Tengboche Monastery. From here, you can also get a close-up view of Mt. Everest (8,848m) and Ama Dablam (6,856m). Overnight stay at Tengboche.

  • Day 6 Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche.

    Leaving behind the beautiful settlement of Tengboche, you start your trek towards Dingboche. Along with the forest of pine, conifers, and rhododendron, you cross the suspension bridge over Imja River and reach Debuche. From here, a steep climb to the top of the ridge takes you to Pangboche. Moving forward, you walk along the Imja River to reach Dingboche. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

  • Day 7 Rest day in Dingboche/ acclimatization day.

    Today, you spend the day acclimatizing to the atmosphere as the altitude officially crosses the mark of 4,400 meters. Early in the morning, you can hike to nearby places, take photographs and enjoy stunning views of snow-capped mountains in the Khumbu region. During the day, you can also visit the Nangkartshang monastery. Instead, you also have the option to rest and explore the local Sherpa settlements. Overnight stay at Dingboche.

  • Day 8 Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung.

    The trail from Dingboche, first, passes through forested area and proceeds towards large moraines. Crossing barren stone paths, you reach Bibre village along with gorgeous views of Ama Dablam (6,856m) and Lhotse (8,516m) in the background. Finally, walking past the Ama Dablam Glacier, you reach Chhukung. This Sherpa village is situated between the Ama Dablam and Lhotse glaciers. Overnight stay at Chhukung.

  • Day 9 Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp.

    On the 9th day, you start your trek on a steep trail. Walking past the large moraines, you head east. Crossing the Imja and Lhotse glaciers, you walk through the zigzag paths. From here, you further continue towards snow-covered terraces. After a steep climb to the top of the ridge, you finally reach Island Peak Base Camp from where you relish the enchanting surroundings and Himalayas. Overnight stay at base camp.

  • Day 10 Summit Day.

    Today is the most exciting and difficult day of our entire trek. Early in the morning, we start our climb to the summit. The trail first passes along three large glaciers: Amphu Lapcha, Lhotse Shar, and Imja glaciers. Crossing rocky and zigzag paths, you climb straight ahead with the help of climbing gears such as crampons, ice axe, and ropes. On a fixed rope, you further climb on a steep trail and finally reach the summit. Once at the top, you get a panoramic view of Nuptse (7,861m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), and the Mount Everest (8,848m) itself. With a content heart and feeling of immense joy, you return to base camp following the same trail. Overnight stay at base camp.

  • Day 11 Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche.

    From base camp, you slowly descend downhill towards Pangboche. Following the same trail, you cross the settlements of Chhukung and Dingboche. You also reach the tree-line and trek with the company of mules and donkeys. Finally, you reach your destination crossing the suspension bridge over the Imja River. You can indulge in observing the local lifestyle in your stay at Pangboche. Overnight stay at Pangboche.

  • Day 12 Trek back from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar.

    After breakfast, you descend towards Tengboche. Alongside the bank of Dudh Koshi River, you continue your walk crossing the settlements of Phunki Tenga and Sanasa. Finally, crossing the forest of pine and oak, you reach beautiful Namche Bazaar from where you can enjoy a close-up view of Thamserku (6,608m). Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 13 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.

    From Namche Bazaar, you start your trek towards Lukla. Crossing the settlements of Jorsalle and Monjo, you will first descend to Phakding. Along the way, you cross forested area of pine and rhododendron, sloppy landscapes, few suspension bridges, and beautiful waterfalls. Finally, you reach Lukla enjoying a stunning view of snow-capped mountains alongside the Dudh Koshi River. Overnight stay at Lukla.

  • Day 14 Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu- a 35 min flight.

    Early in the morning, you take a flight back to Kathmandu. The flight allows you to appreciate the beauty of the mountains for one last time. Once in Kathmandu, you can explore the nearby streets adorned with a diverse array of people and culture. You are free to spend the day as you wish. In the evening, you can also roam around the Thamel area, buy a souvenir and even enjoy its nightlife. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 15 Free Day.

    Today is a free day after a long adventurous trek. Today, you can go for sightseeing around the valley. A local guide will be assigned who will take you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can also shop for gifts and souvenirs as you explore these illustrious destinations. In the evening, you can celebrate your accomplishment with fellow trekkers at the restaurants and bars in the city. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 16 Departure from Nepal.

    Today is your last day in Nepal. We'll drop you off two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can even share your experience with us on the way to the airport. Goodbye and have a safe journey!
