Manaslu Circuit Trek.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m).

    Soon after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our staff members will greet you and transfer you to the hotel. As the day does not include any schedules for planned excursions, you can head to the local streets on your own. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Restricted Area Permit procedure.

    Today, you obtain a Restricted Area Permit needed to trek into the Manaslu region and its conservation area. After a proper documentation briefing, you get your permit. You can also utilize your free time by sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley. A local guide will be assigned who will take you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These heritages are the pillars of the belief and lifestyle of the people in Nepal. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar (570m) and trek to Soti Khola (730m).

    After breakfast, you start your long drive towards Soti Khola. The drive will take you through green hills, large landscapes, and valleys. After a few hours of drive, you rich Dhading Bensi. From here, the path ahead is zigzag and dusty all the way to Arughat Bazaar. As you slowly leave behind the settlement of Arughat Bazaar, stunning glimpses of Ganesh Himal (7,422m) and Manaslu (8,156m) greet you. Crossing forested area of the pine tree, you finally reach Soti Khola. Overnight stay at Soti Khola.

  • Day 4 Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (930m).

    Alongside the bank of Budhi Gandaki River, you start your journey towards Machha Khola. The trail passes through Khursane and proceeds towards the Gurung village of Lapubesi. You also cross a few suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls. Finally, you reach Machha Khola enjoying a glorious view of Annapurna I (8,091m), Ganesh Himal (7,422m), and Manaslu (8,163m). Overnight stay at Machha Khola.

  • Day 5 Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1,370m).

    From Machha Khola, you take a steep climb to the top of the ridge through the forest of blooming rhododendron before reaching Tatopani via Khorla Bensi. Once at Tatopani, you visit the famous hot spring area. It is believed that taking a dip in these natural springs will help you to get rid of skin diseases. From here, the trail proceeds towards Dobhan which finally leads the way towards the beautiful village of Jagat. Overnight stay at Jagat.

  • Day 6 Trek from Jagat to Deng (1,860m).

    After breakfast, you continue your trek towards Deng. Walking past the forest of pine and rhododendron, you first reach the Gurung settlement of Philim via Salleri. Moving forward, you cross small settlements and narrow village trails. Once at Ekle Bhatti, you stop for a quick lunch. Enjoying a stunning view of Himalayas, you finally reach Deng after a walk of six to seven hours. Overnight stay at Deng.

  • Day 7 Trek from Deng to Namrung (2,540m).

    Early in the morning, you start your trek towards Namrung. To reach the settlement of Namrung, you cross Rana, Bihi, and Ghap. The trail gives you the pleasure of experiencing the natural flora and fauna and culture diversity of this region. Along the way, you cross Mani walls craved with Buddhist Mantra. Finally, crossing few suspension bridges and beautiful waterfalls, you reach the village of Namrung. Overnight stay at Namrung.

  • Day 8 Trek from Namrung to Sama Gaon (3,390m).

    Along with a glorious view of Himalchuli (7,893m), Ganesh Himal (7,422m) and other snow-capped mountains, you start your trek through alpine pine forests. The trail passes through the settlement of Lihi and proceeds towards Shyala via Sho. Getting familiar with the ancient culture and tradition of Buddhist community along with the warm welcome of these highlanders offer joyful experience. Finally, you reach Sama Gaon after a walk of six to seven hours. Overnight stay at Sama Gaon.

  • Day 9 Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,400m).

    On the 9th day, you are trekking towards Manaslu Base Camp. After breakfast, you first pass through grassland, meadows and sloppy landscapes. Slowly, you start to climb uphill towards glaciers and snow-covered areas. Crossing large ice fields and rocky moraines, you finally reach Manaslu Base Camp at 4400m. From the top, you get a historic view of Ganesh Himal (7,422m), Manaslu (8,163m), Himlung (7,126m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Himalchuli (7,893m), and many more Himalayas. With a feeling of accomplishment, you return back to Sama Gaon following back the same trail. Overnight stay at Sama Gaon.

  • Day 10 Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo (3,690m).

    Trek to Samdo is quite adventurous. As you ascend towards Kermo Kharka, you walk past the forest of pine and blooming rhododendron. From here, the path ahead winds along a few suspension bridges and waterfalls. The trek heads north as you pass stone huts and long Mani walls to reach Samdo. You can even enjoy a glorious view of Manaslu Glacier and icefall from here. Overnight stay at Samdo.

  • Day 11 Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m).

    Early in the morning, you continue your walk towards Dharamsala. Leaving Samdo, you cross the suspension bridge over the Budi Gandaki River. From here, the path is straightforward to Larkya Bazaar. Walking past meadows and terraced farmlands along with stunning views of Manaslu Himalayas is certainly worth it. Larkya Phedi or Dharamsala is the final stop before the Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and also grants views of Larkya and Naike peaks. Overnight stay at Dharamsala.

  • Day 12 Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,590m) via Larkya La Pass (5,160m).

    Continuing your trek from Dharamsala, you first take a steep climb to the top of the ridge that takes you to the highest point of this trek at Larkya La Pass (5,160m). The ascent to the top is pretty rigorous and takes you along the Larkya Glacier with plenty of sights of the Himalayas in Manaslu region. From the top, you get a stunning view of Ngadi Chuli (7,871m), Manaslu (8,163m), Cheo, and Himlung ranges. With a content heart, you descend through along the barren lands to reach Bimthang. Overnight stay at Bimthang.

  • Day 13 Trek from Bimthang to Tilije (2,300m).

    Leaving behind the settlement of Bimthang, you continue your walk towards Tilije. In the early first hours, you trek through the zigzag and narrow paths. Enjoying a glorious view of Cheo Himal (6,820m) and Himlung (7,126m), you reach Kharche. From here, the path ahead is pretty easy. Walking past the woodland of pine and bamboo, you finally reach Tilije. Overnight stay at Tilije.

  • Day 14 Trek from Tilije to Tal (1,680m).

    Today, you will trek alongside the bank of Dudh Khola. The trail takes you through long terraces and wide farmlands. Before reaching the settlement of Dharapani, you cross the suspension bridge over Marshyangdi River. Walking along with Annapurna Circuit trail, you be amazed by the natural and cultural diversity of this region. Finally, after a walk of five to six hours, you reach Tal. Overnight stay at Tal.

  • Day 15 Trek from Tal to Syange (1,150m).

    Continuing your walk through Marshyangdi valley, you walk past several farm villages, sloppy landscapes, and thinly forested area. Along the way, you also get an opportunity to get familiar with the unique culture and tradition of Gurung and Magar communities. Finally, following the serpentine path, you reach Syange. Overnight stay at Syange.

  • Day 16 Drive from Syange to Kathmandu by private vehicle.

    Early in the morning, you start your drive towards Kathmandu from Syange. In the early first hours, you drive through the small forested area and terraced farmlands before reaching Besisahar. From here, you drive towards Dumre. After a quick lunch at Muglin, you drive forward along with Trishuli River. You finally reach your destination enjoying the sublime view of green hills and surroundings. Once at Kathmandu, you can roam around the Thamel area and buy a souvenir of your journey in Nepal. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 17 Departure from Kathmandu.

    Today is your last day in Nepal. We’ll drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can even share your experience with us on the way to the airport. Goodbye!
