Mardi Himal Trek

  • Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival.

    When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will go through custom and visa formalities. As you exit from the Arrival Hall, you will find our representative waiting for you with a placard in his hand. Look for your name in a placard. After receiving you, he will transfer you to the three-star category hotel. Get refreshed. Later, you will get a briefing regarding the trip. Explore the surroundings. Have a comfortable stay.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing.

    After breakfast, you will join for guided Kathmandu City Tour. Out of 10 UNESCO cultural sites in Nepal, 4 of them exist in Kathmandu alone making it the historical city. We will start the tour by visiting the Pashupatinath Complex which is the most significant Hindu Temple in Nepal. Non- Hindus are not allowed access in the main temple premises but you can still observe the cremation ceremony at the bank of Bagmati River. You will also visit Bouddhanath which was listed in the world heritage site in 1979 A.D. This is also known as mini Tibet in Kathmandu. The next stop will be at Swoyambhunath which is the oldest Buddhist Stupa located at the top of the hill. Swoyambhunath is the oldest stupa that dates 2500 years back. Drive further to Kathmandu Durbar Square- the ancient Royal Palace. Hanumandhoka Museum, Kasthamandap Temple, Kal Bhairav Statue and House of Living Goddess are places of interest. Return to the hotel for a comfortable stay. In the afternoon, you can shop for any trekking equipment that you require.

  • Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Visit Lakeside in evening 5 hrs.

    We will meet at the Tourist Buspark in Kantipath early in the morning. Leaving Kathmandu, we will follow the meandering Prithvi Highway where we can enjoy scenic views of green hills, mountains, and rivers. We can also witness Nepal’s first cable car carrying devotees to and from wish-fulfilling Manakamana Temple. Pokhara can be reached from Kathmandu in about 5hrs. Spend your free time on your own. In the evening, you will be taken to Phewa Lake where you can enjoy boating. Stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Day 4 Drive to Kande, Trek to Forest Camp 8-9 hrs.

    Early in the morning, we will leave the hotel and drive to Kande. A popular site for mountain views, Kande is perched at the top of the hill. Trekking initiates from Kande. The trail gradually ascends till Pothana. After a brief stop at Pothana, we will climb further to Pitam Deurali. The trail ascends further through oak, maple and rhododendron forest to Forest Camp. The area around Forest camp is famous as Kokar among locals. We will stay overnight at Forest Camp.

    • Altitude: 2,540m.
  • Day 5 Trek to Low Camp 4 hrs.

    The trail continues further through the forest. One can witness blooming rhododendron at a higher elevation. Traversing the quaint and exotic forest area, we will be greeted with views of looming Fishtail Mountain, Dhaulagiri Mountain, Annapurna Mountain and other peaks and mountains as we reach Low Camp. There are limited lodges available for accommodation at Low Camp.

  • Day 6 Trek to High Camp 4 hrs.

    You will love walking so close to the glistening mountains. As we go higher, the valley gets wider and vegetation shifts to green pasture. One can witness Himalayan birds like Monal and Lophophorus, the national bird of Nepal. We will finally make it to High Camp for overnight stay.

  • Day 7 Hike to Upper View Point, Back to High Camp 4.5 hrs.

    After breakfast, we will head further to Upper View Point which is the ultimate destination for Mardi Himal Trek. We will enjoy spectacular views of Fishtail Peak, Mardi Himal, Annapurna Mountain, and other surrounding peaks and mountains. The trail towards Upper View Point stretches through grassland and steep sections. Locals bring their yaks in this area during summer for grazing. We will get back to High Camp for an overnight stay.

  • Day 8 Trek to Landruk village 6.5 hrs

    Leaving High camp, we will prepare for our return trip. We will take a different route that takes us to Landruk village which lies on the way to Annapurna Base Camp. After almost an hour of the trek from High Camp, we will arrive at a meeting point. The left path will take us to Low Camp. But we will choose the right path towards Landruk. Crossing the forest area, we will reach Landruk village where we will stay overnight.

  • Day 9 Trek to Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara 6 hrs trek / 1 hr drive.

    After an early breakfast at Landruk, we will descend to the Modi River. Following the trail along the river, we will climb a series of ups and downs. Walking further along the right edge of the Modi River, we will reach Birenthanti where Modi River encounters with Bhurundi River. We will descend further to Nayapul where Mardi Himal Trek ends. We will drive back to Pokhara from Nayapul. Stay overnight in Pokhara.

    • Altitude: 1,070m
  • Day 10 Drive to Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel 7 hrs.

    After taking lunch in Pokhara, we will follow Prithvi Highway back to Kathmandu from where you will be transferred to the hotel. Spend your free time as you like. Take rest or go shopping in Thamel. Stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Day 11 International Departure.

    You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey. We hope to see you soon.
