Mera Peak Climbing.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu.

    After touching down at Tribhuvan International Airport our office representatives will welcome you to the land of the Himalayas. After freshening up from the day's journey, you will meet other members of the staff as well as your guides for the journey. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2/3 Climbing Preparation.

    The next two days, we take time off to prepare for climbing. We will gather all the necessary permits for the journey and make sure all our equipment are ready. If you don't fancy bringing equipment back from your home you can head to the local stores at Thamel and buy them or rent all the necessary ones. Our guides will also elaborate the day to day itinerary giving you all the necessary information. Time permitting, special tours around the UNESCO world heritage sites in the valley can be arranged.   • Day 4 Fly to Lukla (40 mins) (2,860m), trek to Paiya (Chutok) (5-6 hours).

    The day begins early as we begin our journey heading towards Lukla. Heading out of Kathmandu the forty-minute flight takes us through a diverse set of landscapes with glimpses of what the coming days of trekking hold for us. After a brief rest, we begin our trek through the lush green forests to reach Handi Khola beyond which lies the town of Surke. From Surke the trail takes us towards Chutok La Pass and then onto Chutok for the night.

  • Day 5 Paiya to Panggom 5-6 hrs.

    A lovely day of travel awaits us as we begin our journey heading out of Paiya. Enjoying the pleasant rural hilly landscape, the trail takes us on a descending route towards the suspension bridge beyond which the trail ascends towards Kari La Pass (3,145m). Taking in the beautiful views of the valley adorned with rhododendron, trees the journey continues towards Panggom. Overnight stay at Ningsow.

  • Day 6 Panggom to Ningsow 4-5 hrs.

    One of the shorter days of the trek, today, we make our way towards Ningsow. The trail heading out of Panggom mountain pass brings us on the other side of the hill as we head towards the north towards Peseng Kharka Khola. The journey continues at a comfortable pace avoiding steep ascents and descents all the way towards Ningsow. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 7 Ningsow to Chhetra Khola 7-8 hrs.

    A long day of trekking awaits us as we prepare to make our way to Chhetra Khola for the night. Located at an altitude of 2,800m the region boasts views of Mera Peak (6,461m). Heading out of Ningsow, the trailheads for the Salpa La Pass crossing Ramailo Danda. Enjoying the pleasant views we enter the Makalu Barun National Park host to the remarkable number of the red panda. The final stretch of the journey is a pleasant one leading to Chhetra Khola for. Overnight stay at Chhetra Khola.

  • Day 8 Chhetra Khola to Kothe 6-7 hrs.

    Heading out of Chhetra Khola we cross the river continuing further north. Finding the banks of Majang Khola, we continue our ascending run heading further down to meet Hinku Khola. Next up is the vibrant hamlet of Tashing Ongma which boasts an impressive display of the beauty of the Himalayas. Crossing the bridge over Sanu Khola we make our way at Kothe. Overnight stay at Kothe.

  • Day 9 Kothe to Thangnak 3-4 hrs.

    One of the shorter and finest days of our travels today we make our way to Thangnak. Trekking alongside the banks of Hinku Khola brings us to Gordishung located on the western bank of the river. The summer settlement offers little in the name of the vibrant and crowded settlement. Trekking to Lungsumgba Gompa we visit one of the oldest monasteries of the region established some 200 years ago. Overnight stay at Thangnak.

  • Day 10 Thangnak to Khare 2-3 hrs.

    The shortest day of our journey today we make our way to Khare. The journey to Khare sees the drastic change in altitude as we cover more than 687m in upward elevation. Today will be a slow day but on the plus side, we get more time to enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas. Trekking through the glacial moraines of Dig Glacier we reach Dig Kharka further ascending through the moraines of Hinku Nup and Shar. Overnight stay at Khare.

  • Day 11 Khare to Mera High Camp 6-7 hrs.

    Leaving the alpine vegetation and vibrant settlements behind, we begin our journey heading towards Mera High Camp. The trek sees us continuously ascend through snowy pathways completely covering the rocky Himalayan trail. Other than ourselves it is rare to encounter Sherpa people who make their way this high up in the Himalayas. Overnight at Mera High Camp.

    • Altitude: 5,780m.
  • Day 12 Mera High Camp to Summit and back to Khare 8-9 hrs.

    The day begins early as we make our way towards the summit of Mera Peak (6,461m). Ascending through the glacial moraines towards the icy pathways leading towards the summit we take on the Himalayas. Midway through you is treated to a panorama of views of a Himalayas. Rejuvenated by the sights, we continue our journey towards the summit. While the other sections are fairly easy the finals section can prove to be a bit technical and if the team leader feels so we will use ropes for our final ascends. Enjoying the stunning views from the summit including the summits of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8, 516m), Cho Oyu (8,188m), Makalu (8,481m) and Kanchenjunga (8,586m) we begin our descend heading back. Overnight stay at Khare.

  • Day 13 Khare to Kothe 4-5 hrs.

    The beginning of the descent today, we make our way back towards the hamlet of Kothe. The journey takes us along the familiar Himalayan trail descending towards the lush green valleys. With the Himalayas providing a magnificent backdrop, we cross the glacial moraines making our way towards the hamlet of Thangnak. Overnight stay at Kothe.

  • Day 14 Kothe to Thuli Kharka 5-6 hrs.

    Diverting from the beaten route we make our way towards Thuli Kharka once again ascending towards the Himalayas. Heading out of Kothe we come across a series of streams and rivers all tributaries of the Inkhu Khola. Taking on the trail heading towards the right once it diverges from Taktho, we continue our ascending journey passing a series of Chortens and Mani walls all showcasing the strong impact of Buddhism in the region. Overnight at Thuli Kharka.

  • Day 15 Thuli Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass 5-6 hrs.

    The final day of our trek we make our way towards Lukla via the Zatrwa La Pass. Located at an altitude of 4,610m, the ascent to the rocky Himalayan pass can be quite tricky. However, with a Himalayan panorama that includes Cho Oyu (8,201m), Kongde Peak (4,250m), Number Himal (6,959m), Kusum Khangkaru (6,367m) to match the steep ascent we are sure it will be worth it. Ascending from Thuli Kharka, we cross several glacial moraines in our quest to reach the pass. After a brief stop on the top of Zatrwa La, Pass we begin our descending journey back towards Lukla for the night. Overnight at Lukla.

  • Day 16 Fly to Kathmandu.

    The day begins early as we make our way out of Lukla heading towards Kathmandu. Jetting off from the Lukla airstrip we get glimpses of the stunning Himalayas and mesmerizing natural beauty the region holds. Landing back at Tribhuvan International Airport you will be driven directly back to the hotel which concludes our journey. For the rest of the day, you are free to head down to the local markets or stay back at the hotel resting from long days of travel.

  • Day 17 Departure.

    Our representatives will once again drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport just in time for your flight back home. We hope you had a lovely time with us and we look forward to seeing you again.
