Pisang Peak Climbing.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu.

    You may arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at any time. Upon your arrival, a company representative will greet you and take you to the hotel. As no further activities are scheduled for the day, you can explore the city on your own. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

    • Place: Kathmandu
    • Altitude: 1,350m.
  • Day 2 Trip Preparation in Kathmandu.

    This day is scheduled for trek preparation. After a quick documentation briefing, you will participate in a lesson about the use of climbing gears such as ice axe, crampons etc. If you have enough time, you can go for a sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. A local guide will take you to UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You enlightened about the rich history of these places at the golden age. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani : 11-12 hrs.

    After breakfast, you start the scenic drive towards the settlement of Dharapani. The drive will take you through the forested area, green hills, and riverside roads. From here, the trail passes through Syange and proceeds towards Jagat. Along the way, you witness wide terraced farmlands and gorgeous landscapes. You now continue your drive along with Marshyangdi River which finally leads the way to Dharapani via Tal. Overnight stay at Dharapani.

  • Day 4 Dharapani to Chame : 5-6 hrs.

    Today is the first day of your trek. Early in the morning, you start your walk towards Chame. Ascending uphill through the wide forest of pine and rhododendron, you reach Timang village via Danakyu. Along the way, you get a glorious view of Manaslu (8,163m), Lamjung Himal (6,983m), Annapurna II (7,937m) and other snow-capped mountains. From here, a steep climb to the top of the ridge takes you to Koto. Walking past stone and narrow paths, you finally reach Chame after a walk of five to six hours. Overnight stay at Chame.

  • Day 5 Chame to Upper Pisang : 5-6 hrs.

    On the 5th day, you continue your walk towards Upper Pisang. In the early first hour, you trek through the forested area of oak and pine until you reach the settlement of Bhratang. Moving forward, you cross a few suspension bridges, beautiful waterfalls, and sloppy landscapes. Upon reaching Swarga Dwari, the gateway of heaven in Nepali, you ascend towards Upper Pisang. Overnight stay at Upper Pisang.

    • Altitude: 3,700m./12,136ft.
  • Day 6 Acclimatization.

    Today is the much-needed rest day. You also get a chance to adapt to an increased altitude. Early in the morning, you can hike to nearby places and visit ancient Buddhist monasteries and temples. Upper Pisang offers you a panoramic view of snow-capped mountains in Manaslu and Annapurna ranges. At the evening, you can roam around the local market, try local foods, and get familiar with their unique culture and tradition. Overnight stay at Upper Pisang.

  • Day 7 Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp : 4-5 hrs.

    On this day, you trekking towards Pisang Peak Base Camp. As you move forward, the trail passes through the large moraines, meadows, and woodlands. A steep climb to the top of the ridge takes you to wide grassland. From here, you ascend uphill crossing some small lakes and snow-covered terraces. After a walk of five hours, you finally reach Pisang Peak Base Camp from where you get a spectacular view of Manang Valley. Overnight stay at tented camp.

    • Altitude: 4,380m.
  • Day 8 Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp : 3-4 hrs.

    Today’s trek is pretty difficult. After breakfast, you start your steep climb towards south ridges. The trail passes through large glaciers and proceeds towards snow-covered terraces. On the way, you might cross paths with big rocks and ice fields. Finally, after a walk of five to six hours, you reach high camp at 5400m. Once at the high camp, you can get a majestic view of the Pisang Himalayas and surrounding landscapes. Overnight stay at tented camp.

    • Altitude: 5,400m.
  • Day 9 Summit Pisang Peak and back to base camp : 8-9 hrs.

    Today is the summit day. You start your climb early in the morning. In the early first hours, you climb straight upward crossing large moraines. Once at camp I, you take a quick rest and further ascend through the snow-covered area, rocky ridgelines, and glaciers on a fixed rope. You will make full use of ice axe and crampons along the way. After a steep climb to the top of the ridge, you will finally reach the summit. Once at the top, you get a 360-degree view of Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Annapurna Range, Gangapurna (7,454m), Tilicho Peak (7,134m), Pisang Peak (6,091m), Lamjung Himal (6,983m) and many more. After you celebrate the successful ascent of the peak, you return to base camp. Overnight stay at base camp.

    • Place: Base camp
    • Altitude: 6,091m.
  • Day 10 Contingency.

    This day is sanctioned as a contingency to summit the Pisang peak (6,091m) if the scaling cannot be done on the scheduled day. As the weather in the Himalayas is not always favorable for ascents to the summit, this day makes sure that we stay on schedule even if the weather disturbs the routine.

  • Day 11 Pisang Peak Base Camp to Manang Valley : 5-6 hrs.

    The trek to Manang Valley is quite adventurous. As you were slowly drop-down towards the flat valley of Hongde Village, you see a drastic change in the environment and surroundings. From here, you walk past small farm villages, forested area, and sloppy landscapes along with a glorious view of Annapurna ranges. You can visit the ancient Buddhist Braga Monastery on the way to Manang. Overnight stay at Manang.

    • Altitude: 3,450m.
  • Day 12 Manang to Yak Kharka : 3-4 hrs.

    Leaving beautiful Manang Valley behind, you start your trek towards Yak Kharka. In the early hours, the trail goes through the settlement of Tengi and finally reach Jarsang Khola. After a quick lunch at Gunsang, you walk along the Mani walls carved with Buddhist mantra which finally leads the way to Yak Kharka. Overnight stay at Yak Kharka.

    • Altitude: 4,110m.
  • Day 13 Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi : 3-4 hrs.

    Enjoying the sublime view of Nilgiri ranges and Gangapurna (7,454m) in the background, you slowly head towards Thorung Phedi crossing settlement of Ledar. Along the way, you cross the suspension bridge over Thorung Khola. The trek also continues along the foothills of the Mt. Gundang (5,312m). Overnight stay at Thorung Phedi.

    • Altitude: 4,525m.
  • Day 14 Thorung Phedi to Thorung La, continue trek to Muktinath : 9-10 hrs.

    Early in the morning, you continue your walk towards Muktinath. After a steep climb to the top of the ridge, you reach the top of Thorung La at 5,416m. From the top, you can rejoice in the awe-striking views of several snow-capped mountains in Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Thorung ranges. Walking past the narrow paths and sloppy landscapes, you now slowly descend towards Muktinath. Muktinath is the famous pilgrimage site for both Buddhist and Hindu. Overnight stay at Muktinath.

    • Altitude: 5,416m. & 3,760m.
  • Day 15 Muktinath to Jomsom : 5-6 hrs.

    From Muktinath, you start your trek towards Jomsom. Crossing the settlements such as Ranipauwa and Jharkot, you first reach Kagbeni. Along the way, you get a distant glimpse of Dhaulagiri mountain range. Moving further, you stop for a quick lunch at Ekle Bhatti. Finally, you reach Jomsom walking along with the drylands and Kali Gandaki river bank. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

    • Altitude: 2,720m.
  • Day 16 Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara: 25 min.

    From Jomsom, you take a flight back to Pokhara. It is a short scenic flight of 25 minutes above the snow-capped mountains and green hills in Annapurna region. Once at beautiful Lake City of Pokhara, you can roam around the city to destinations like Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, and so on. You also get to be familiar with the ancient history of the mountaineering feats at the International Mountaineering Museum. You can also buy souvenir and even enjoy its night life if you have enough time. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

  • Day 17 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 6 hrs.

    Bidding farewell to the Himalayas, you start your six-hour drive towards Kathmandu from Pokhara. Crossing small town of Dumre and Muglin, you drive further along with Trishuli River flowing on the edge. After a quick lunch at Naubise, you head to Thankot which finally leads the way to the capital. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 18 Final departure.

    Today is your final day in Nepal. We’ll drop you off two hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can also share your experience with us on the way to the airport. Goodbye!
