Rolwaling Trek.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m).

    Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will warmly receive you at the airport and bring you to your hotel. You’ll meet your trek guide and discuss the trip. Our representatives will help get your permits ready while you rest and prepare for the trek. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Gonggar (1,440m) via Dolakha 7-8 hrs.

    Simigaon (2,036 m) (1/2 hours), Overnight stay at tented camp.

    After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a road journey to Gonggar Khola located about 7-8 hours east of Kathmandu. You’ll get to witness the magnificent sights of Sunkoshi, Bhote Khosi, and Tama Koshi Rivers along the road. After a brief layover at Gonggar, you’ll embark on the first day of the trek towards Simigaon. The brief trek will last only about an hour or two. Overnight stay at Simigaon.

  • Day 3 Trek from Simigaon to Daldung La (3,976m) 7-8 hrs,Overnight stay at tented camp.

    The trek begins from Simigaon and advances through the steep trail into the lush rhododendron forest. You’ll climb through the vertical stone steps and cross the Rolwaling River to arrive at the flat land that directly leads to Daldung-La. The trail is mostly uninhabited and you will be in the company of pristine natural route on the way. Overnight stay at Daldung La.

  • Day 4 Trek from Daldung La to Beding (3,690m) 7-8 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Leaving Daldung La, the trek begins advances through an ascent of a rocky trail surrounded by rhododendron forests. After a few detours, you’ll arrive at the Nyamare village from where you can catch the beautiful sight of Mount Gaurishankar (7134m). Few hours upward from Nyamare lies the Beding village, the largest Sherpa village in the Rolwaling valley. Overnight stay at Beding.

  • Day 5 Exploration Day, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Today is a day off at Beding. You’ll spend time acclimatizing and exploring the entire village. The advantage of taking a stop-over at Beding is that you get to visit the beautiful sight of Melungtse Himal ranges. You can also hike through the moraines all the way up to the top of Menlung La.   • Day 6 Trek from Beding to Na (4,180 m) 4-5 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Leaving Beding, it’s an easy uphill trek towards the village of Na Gaon. You’ll start trekking along the Rolwaling River and move towards Dhogre which opens up a gateway to the valley with large Mani stones in Buddhist prayer flags and a large rock with an image of Bodhisattva. A bit further lies the Na Gaon village. Overnight stay at Na Gaon.

  • Day 7 Acclimatization day: Hike to Ramdung Go (5,930m) and Yalung glacier, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    You’ll spend an essential day acclimatizing at Na Gaon and altitude-training at Ramdung Go and Yalung Glacier. You also hike to the Ramdung Go and Yalung Glacier. You’ll begin the hike by crossing the slippery trail of Yalung Glacier and head towards the Ramdung Go via Ramdung Glacier. Ramdung Go is a local peak. You can get an amazing view of Tsho Rolpa Lake from the top of Ramdung Go. Overnight stay at Na Gaon.

  • Day 8 Trek from Na to Tsho Rolpa Lake (4,540 m) 4-5 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Leaving Na Gaon, you’ll advance towards the largest glacial lake in the region, Tsho Rolpa Lake (4,540 m). The Tsho Rolpa Lake is revered as a holy site by both Hindu and Buddhist adherents. The pristine lake also supports a diverse ecosystem and houses plenty of flora and fauna in its vicinity. Moreover, the Himalayan panorama in the background is a sight to relish it.   • Day 9 Trek from Tsho Rolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier (4,800m) 7-8 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    It’s a brief trek from Tsho Rolpa Lake to Trakarding Glacier. Although shorter in length, the trail is well compensated by the difficult icy terrain with steep ascents. It can prove to be a difficult trek as you walk through the trail of Trakarding Glacier the entire day. The magnificent sights of Rolwaling Kang (6,664 m), Takargo (6,671 m), and Jabou Ri (6,166 m) peaks will keep you occupied almost throughout the trail. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

  • Day 10 Trek from Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Phedi 6-7 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    The trail heads upwards from Trakarding Glacier and enters the foothills of Tashi Lapcha pass. You will climb a few large rocks before making your way out of the glacier. Leaving Trakarding Glacier, you’ll enter the Drolambau Glacier. The day ends at Tashi Lapcha Phedi which lies at the foothills of Tashi Lapcha Pass. Overnight stay at Tashi Lapcha Phedi.

  • Day 11 Trek from Tashi Lapcha Phedi to Tashi Camp (5,200m) 6-7 hrs, & Tashi Lapcha Pass(5,755m)Overnight stay at tented camp.

    You’ll climb the steep ridge to cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755 m), one of the highest passes in the region. The pass also has a reputation on being one of the hardest passes to cross in the entire country. You’ll encounter rocky and icy terrain towards the top. Across the pass, you’ll make a short descent towards the Tashi Lapcha Camp, also known as Tashi Lapcha Phuk. The pass lies at the border of Rolwaling and Khumbu valley. Once crossing the pass, you’ll enter the Sagarmatha National Park. Overnight stay at Tashi Camp.

  • Day 12 Trek from Tashi Lapcha Camp to Thyangbo (4,350 m) 4-5 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    From here, you’ll be trekking entirely inside the Sagarmatha National Park in the Khumbu region. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts of astonishing biodiversity. The home of ethnic Sherpa tribe, you will witness rich Tibetan styled architecture, lifestyle, culture, and traditions. It’s an easy walk over the glacier towards Ngole village. You’ll reach Parchemuche Tsho, a glaciated lake in the Khumbu region. The day ends at Thyangbo village. Overnight stay at Thyangbo.

  • Day 13 Trek from Thyangbo to Thame (3,820m) 4-5 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Leaving Thyangbo, the trek advances along the yak pastures towards Thame village. You’ll make a short downhill hike from Thyangbo towards Thame. After a short trek, you will reach the Power-House just before entering the village of Thame. Once at Thame, you can choose to visit the local Thame Monastery. The Thame Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the entire region. Overnight stay at Thame.

  • Day 14 Trek from Thame to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 5-6 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    From Thame, you’ll make your way down to the renowned Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar. Namche is the largest Sherpa village in the entire Khumbu region. The village is generally bustling with tourists and locals. You’ll witness numerous lodges, shops, restaurants, and diners at Namche. While hiking down from Thame, you can catch some great sights of Everest (8,848 m), Cho Oyu (8,188 m), and Taboche peak (6,367 m). Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 15 Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,840m) 6-7 hrs, Overnight stay at tented camp.

    Leaving Namche Bazaar, you’ll trek along the Bhote Koshi River and Dudh Koshi River to arrive at Monjo. Monjo serves as the entry point of Sagarmatha National Park. You’ll make your way down to Lukla village via Phakding. On the way, you pass numerous villages like Nurning and Chheplung. At Lukla, celebrate the completion of one of the most adventurous treks in Nepal. Overnight stay at Lukla.

  • Day 16 Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

    You will catch the earliest flight back to Kathmandu. You can catch the sight of the pristine Himalayas for the last time before arriving in Kathmandu. Once at Kathmandu, our representative will receive you and escort you to your hotel. You can explore the UNESCO world heritage sites in the city and observe the Newari art, craft, and architecture during the tour. Meanwhile, do not forget to shop for gifts and souvenirs on the process. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 17 Reserve day for flight cancellation from Lukla to Kathmandu due to bad weather, Overnight in Hotel.

    As the weather in the Himalayan regions of Nepal is prone to abrupt changes which frequently cause flight delays and cancellations. A supplementary day is kept aside to facilitate an easy departure from Lukla in case of flight cancellation due to bad weather.

  • Day 18 Departure to International Airport.

    Our representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport in a private car. You will leave for the airport approx. 2 hours early. On the way, you can share your trip experience or your next adventure with us.
