Tamang Heritage Trek.

  • Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival (1,300m).

    When you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will go through custom and visa formalities. As you exit from the Arrival Hall, you will find our representative waiting for you with a placard in his hand. Look for your name in a placard. After receiving you, he will transfer you to the three-star category hotel. Get refreshed. Later, you will get a briefing regarding the trip. Explore the surroundings. Have a comfortable stay.

  • Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu.

    After breakfast, you will join for guided Kathmandu City Tour. Out of 10 UNESCO cultural sites in Nepal, 4 of them exist in Kathmandu alone making it the historical city. We will start the tour by visiting the Pashupatinath Complex which is the most significant Hindu Temple in Nepal. Non- Hindus are not allowed access in the main temple premises but you can still observe cremation ceremony at the bank of Bagmati River. You will also visit Bouddhanath which was listed in the world heritage site in 1979 A.D. This is also known as mini Tibet in Kathmandu. Next stop will be at Swoyambhunath which is the oldest Buddhist Stupa located at the top of the hill. Swoyambhunath is the oldest stupa that dates 2500 years back. Drive further to Kathmandu Durbar Square- the ancient Royal Palace. Hanumandhoka Museum, Kasthamandap Temple, KalBhairav Statue and House of Living Goddess are places of interest. Return to the hotel for a comfortable stay. In the afternoon, you can shop for any trekking equipment that you require.

  • Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to SyabruBesi (1440m).

    We will leave Kathmandu early in the morning and head north. Our journey continues through PasangLhamu Highway along lively queen forest. Following the swirling road with views of green hills, terraces, ManasluHimal and Ganesh Himal on the backdrop, we will reach Trishuli River. Following the bumpy path from Dhunche onwards, we will make it to Syabrubesi in about 8hrs. Stay overnight in a lodge in Syabrubesi.

  • Day 4 SyabruBesi to Gatlang (2,238m).

    We will begin Tamang Heritage Trek on this day. Starting from Syabrubesi, we will arrive at a viewpoint inRongbaBhanjyang in about 2hrs. The top of Bhanjyang allows views of Ganesh Himal, Gosaikunda Mountain Range, and Goljung valley. Walking for another hour, we will reachChauhattare. After taking lunch, we will pass through a few Tibetan influenced settlements and reach Gatlang village. Stay overnight at Gatlang.

  • Day 5 Gatlang to Tatopani (2,607m).

    From Gatlang, we will head towardsThambuchet (1,768m). This village exists near Chilime village at the bank of Bhotekoshi River. Chilime village is famous for Chilime hydropower dam which supplies electricity to the village. Crossing a suspension bridge, we will follow the ascending path to Tatopani. We will visit a natural hot spring in Tatopani. Stay overnight at Tatopani.

  • Day 6 Tatopani to Thuman (2,338m).

    LeavingTatopani, we will follow the ascending path to NagthaliDanda (3,165m). The top of Nagthali is an expanse of meadow. We can get a spectacular view of Langtang Mountain. Lowering down from Nagthali, we will head towards Brimdang (2,848m). We will move further from Brimdang to Thuman. Thuman is a Tibetan influenced Tamang village. Stay overnight in Thuman.

  • Day 7 Thuman to Briddim (2,229m).

    Walking through Thuman, we will arrive at Ling Ling (1,762m). Near to Ling Ling village exists popularRasuwagadi Fort. Rasuwagadi fort was built to defend locals from the invasion of Tibetans. Following the scenic trail, we will reach Briddim. Homestay facility is available at Briddim. You will get wonderful opportunity to observe Tamang culture and taste local food at Briddim.

  • Day 8 Briddim to SyabruBesi (1,440m).

    Briddim is the last major Tamang village that lies on Tamang Heritage Trail. We will lower down through the pine forest and after about a couple of hours, we will arrive at Wangal. The trail from Briddim meets with Langtang Valley Trekking Trailat Wangal. We will descend from Wangal to Syabrubesi. Stay overnight at Syabrubesi.

  • Day 9 SyabruBesi to Kathmandu (1,300m).

    We will return back to Kathmandu on this day. After early morning breakfast, we will drive through a gravel road to Dhunche and then follow the meandering road with views of mountains, green hills, and terraces at the backdrop to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

  • Day 10 Departure.

    You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey. We hope to see you soon.
