Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing.

  • Day 1 Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu.

    A company representative will receive you upon arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. After heading to the hotel, you are free to explore the city and its magnificent Newari heritage. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour.

    Your guide will assess your climb gear and equipment and prepare your permits. While he’s getting your papers done, you’ll embark on a scenic sightseeing tour of the historical Kathmandu city. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced tour guide and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites namely Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Kathmandu to Pokhara Duration: 6 hrs.

    After early breakfast, you’ll embark on a road journey to Pokhara. A popular tourist destination in Mid-west Nepal, the drive takes you through the serpentine roads, narrow gorges, and lush forests hills to reach Pokhara. The road diverts goes along the Prithvi Highway to reach Pokhara. Once at Pokhara, you can choose to stroll around Phewa Lake or simply relax.

  • Day 4 Drive Naya Pul (New bridge), to Tikhedhunga () Duration: 4 hrs.

    After early breakfast, you’ll embark on a short road journey through Baglung Highway to arrive at Nayapul. Upon reaching Nayapul, you’ll begin the trek. The final stop of the day will be made at Tikhedhunga which lies almost 9km from Nayapul. The trail goes past Birethanti, Lamdawali, Sudame and Hile villages en route. Overnight stay at Tikhedhunga.

    • Place: Naya Pul (New bridge) & Tikhedhunga
    • Altitude: 1,400m.<
  • Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani Duration: 6 hrs.

    Leaving Tikhedhunga, you’ll begin climbing the neatly built 3,200 steep stone steps leading towards Ulleri. The steps lie on the way to Ghorepani (2,860m). After a brief stop, you’ll continue trekking all the way up to Ghorepani via Banthanti and Nangethanti villages. The populace in Ghorepani is mostly of Gurung and Magar ethnicities and the village itself is a prominent tourist destination in the region. Overnight stay at Ghorepani.

  • Day 6 Hiking -Poonhill, trek to Tadapani Duration: 6 hrs.

    An early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) offers you with a mesmerizing view of beautiful sunrise along with the majestic panorama of the surrounding mountains namely Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Hiunchuli massif, Machhapuchhre (6,997m), etc. You’ll make your way back to Ghorepani for breakfast and then head northeast to Tadapani village. The trail to Tadapani follows the forested trail to reach the Gurung village of Tadapani. Overnight stay at Tadapani.

    • Altitude: 3,210m. & 2,470m.
  • Day 7 Trek to Chhomrong Duration: 5 hrs.

    You’ll leave Tadapani and head towards Chhomrong village which lies northeast to Tadapani. The village of Chhomrong brings you to the regular Annapurna Base Camp trail. You’ll trek through Chuile, Kimrong Khola, Gurjung, and Taulung to reach Chhomrong. Along the way, you can relish the scenery of hills and lush landscapes with brief stops at the local settlements on numerous occasions. Overnight stay at Chhomrong.

  • Day 8 Trek to Dovan Duration: 5 hrs.

    Leaving Chhomrong, the trek slightly descends before reaching the Chhomrong Khola. Crossing the suspension bridge, the trek advances upwards to the village of Sinuwa. The trail past Sinuwa brings many detours through the lush vegetation and thick bamboo forest. A downhill hike will bring you to Bamboo village. A gentle ascent from Bamboo will bring you to Dovan. Overnight stay at Dovan.

  • Day 9 Trek to Deurali Duration: 4 hrs.

    Leaving Dovan, you’ll advance further up north. The higher altitude invites the cold temperature and chilly breezes almost all the time. En route, you will get to see the astounding view of the glacier river- Modi Khola running alongside the village. A steep climb up through Hinku Cave and a short descent followed by an ascent will bring you to Deurali. Overnight stay at Deurali.

  • Day 10 Trek to Annapurna Base Camp Duration: 5 hrs.

    It’s a special day today as you trek all the way to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). Leaving Deurali, you’ll trek through the rocky path along the Modi Khola and arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m). Machhapuchhre Base Camp lies just below the summit of majestic Machhapuchhre (6,997m). It’s only a short hike from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to ABC. The majestic sight of Annapurna I (8,091m) will welcome you throughout the trail. Overnight stay at ABC.

    • Altitude: 4,130m.
  • Day 11 Trek to Tharpu Chuli Peak Base Camp Duration: 3-4 hrs.

    You’ll leave ABC, and trek to Tharpu Chuli Base Camp. You’ll trek through the trail alongside the Annapurna glaciers and cross over snow moraines. The views of numerous mountain in the Annapurna range will keep you company on the trek to the base camp. You’ll cross a bridge to continue further up until you arrive at Tharpu Chuli Base camp. Overnight stay at Tharpu Chuli Base Camp.

    • Altitude: 4,910m.
  • Day 12 Summit Tharpu Chuli Peak, and return to ABC Duration: 8-9 hrs.

    After early breakfast at around 2 am, you’ll prepare your backpack and start climbing the peak. You’ll make an ascent to High Camp (5,230m) and begin ascending on a steep North West Ridge trail to arrive at the summit of Tharpu Chuli. From the high camp, you can catch the panoramic sights of Hiunchuli (6,441m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Annapurna I (8,091m), and Machhapuchhre (6,997m). You’ll continue climbing on a rocky trail for around 2 hours and walk level snow for around an hour. You’ll also encounter a steep slope before using fix ropes to reach the summit. After a successful summit, you’ll head back to the Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight stay at ABC.

    • Altitude: 5,653m. & 4,130m.
  • Day 13 Reserve day for contingency.

    Weather in the Himalaya is very unpredictable and such situations decide the possibility of making the climb to the summit. A contingency day is kept at hand to ensure that you successfully climb Tharpu Chuli Peak in such situations.

  • Day 14 Explore the hidden valley and trek back to Bamboo.

    You’ll leave base camp and descend along the snow moraine to arrive at the discreet valley on the foothills of Tharpu Chuli. The serene destination offers a beautiful time with the views of gigantic mountains surrounding the valley. You’ll take the usual route and head down to Bamboo village. En route, you can enjoy views of cascades and pass through the sparse forest to arrive at Bamboo. Overnight stay at Bamboo.

  • Day 15 Trek to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) Duration: 6 hrs.

    Leaving Bamboo, you’ll retrace your path back to Jhinu Danda via Sinuwa and Chhomrong villages. Following the Modi River, you divert from the trail you previously took and head south to arrive at Jhinu Danda. Jhinu Danda is a local landmark popular for its natural hot spring. You can choose to take a rest in the hot spring to relax your ailing body. Overnight stay at Jhinu Danda.

  • Day 16 Drive from Jhinu Danda to Pokhara, 5-6 Hrs.

    Leaving Jhinu Danda, you’ll trek uphill for a while before you arrive at a motorable road. From here, you’ll catch a commute back to Pokhara which goes through Nayapul and Baglung Highway. Once at Pokhara, you’ll be escorted to your hotel. In the evening, you can take a stroll around the lakeside city and celebrate the completion of your trip. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

  • Day 17 Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

    You’ll leave Pokhara in the morning and drive through Prithvi Highway along the Trishuli River to arrive at Kathmandu. While departing Pokhara city, the magnanimous sights of Annapurna I (8,091m) and Machhapuchhre (6,997m) will be visible at a distance. Once at Kathmandu, your guide will bring you back to your hotel. Later, you can explore the streets and shop for souvenirs. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

  • Day 18 Departure.

    Our representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport in a private car so you can catch your scheduled flight back home. You will leave for the airport approximately 2 hours before the flight. We hope to see you soon.
